Location History
Masons Bay in Hopetoun, Western Australia, is a hidden gem located on the southern coast of the region. With its pristine white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, the bay offers a picturesque and tranquil setting for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts alike. It is a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying water sports such as snorkeling and fishing. Surrounded by untouched natural beauty, Masons Bay provides breathtaking views of the coastline and an awe-inspiring backdrop for sunset walks along the shore.
What it means to me
In 2014 my Brother, his family and mine went on a trip to wave rock, down to Esperance and across the bottom of Australia. This was one of those locations we stayed at for 3 nights. The water was very cold however crystal clear and every morning there were groups of stingrays that came right onto the beach. The way the bay is located gives it very unique sunsets as you can see here.
