15 Jun The Making Of Big Lagoon Denham Western Australia
Big Lagoon Denham Western Australia
Big Lagoon is located in the heart of Shark Bay World Heritage Area in Denham, Western Australia. It is considered one of the most beautiful and pristine lagoons in the region and boasts a wide range of marine life and bird species. The crystal clear water and white sandy beaches make it a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking.
When exploring the surrounding mangrove forests you might just see dolphins, dugongs, and turtles in their natural habitat. The lagoon is also popular among anglers as it is home to a variety of fish species, including mangrove jack and barramundi. Additionally, Big Lagoon is an important nesting site for several bird species, including the Pacific golden plover and the endangered shorebird, the red necked stilt.
